What is Craniosacral Therapy

Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on treatment that works with the body's natural rhythms to encourage relaxation, restore balance, and support overall wellbeing.

Using light, non-invasive touch, the therapist applies gentle pressure to the head, neck, spine, and sacrum. Through light touch, the therapist works with the deeper membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.

This system plays a vital role in maintaining healthy circulation, fluid movement, and overall nervous system function. When restrictions occur, they may contribute to discomfort, tension, or other symptoms. Even subtle imbalances can affect this delicate network. CST encourages the body to release tension and restrictions within the body's tissues, helping to reduce discomfort and promote ease of movement.

The therapy is based on the principle that gentle treatment of the skull, spine, pelvis, and surrounding tissues can support the healthy movement of cerebrospinal fluid and improve the body's natural ability to adapt, regulate, and heal. By releasing restrictions, the body is encouraged to function more efficiently and comfortably.
