How is Craniosacral Therapy performed ?
-
Craniosacral therapy is performed with the client lying comfortably on a treatment bed, fully clothed.
-
Using a gentle, light touch, the therapist monitors and evaluates the craniosacral rhythm to identify potential restrictions and areas of imbalance within the body.
-
The therapist then uses delicate manual techniques which encourages the body to unwind patterns of tension and restriction.
How many treatments are needed ?
-
The number of Craniosacral Therapy (CST) sessions needed depends on the individual's overall health.
-
A balanced way to describe it is: Some people notice a sense of relaxation or reduced tension after a single session.
-
For recent or less complex concerns, 3–4 sessions are recommended to assess how the body responds and to support lasting change.
-
For chronic or long-standing issues, more sessions may be required.
How long is a session of Craniosacral Therapy?
-
Children's treatments typically last 30–60 minutes (depending on the age of the child),
-
Adult sessions are usually 60 -90 minutes.
-
Initial appointments may be slightly longer to allow time for a full consultation and discussion of your health history.
When is treatment appropriate?
-
Craniosacral Therapy is suitable for people of all ages.
-
It may be used as a standalone treatment or alongside other therapies as part of your care plan.
-
Currently I am treating adults & children (over 4 years).
